Bar/Restaurant Sails is located on the first floor of the museum. Enjoy the spectacular view over the Waaigat while enjoying a fresh coffee, a drink or a simple but delicious lunch.

Starting at noon the museum restaurant "Sails" serves its famous Hotchpotch with chuck roast or smoked sausage and / or nasi goreng for the price of only Nafl. 15.00.

"Sometimes you are lucky enough to find a hidden gem and you'll find it at Sails restaurant at the Maritime Museum. The Maritime Museum in Scharloo is located directly across the yellow bridge between Punda and Scharloo near the floating market. The museum is a beautifully renovated building with on the first floor, entirely in nautical atmosphere, restaurant Sails. From twelve to three, one can have lunch here.
The restaurant has a cozy friendly atmosphere. Sails regularly organizes theme nights. It is also the right place for weddings and receptions. For large groups, the museum itself can be rented. The museum has a guarded parking lot where parking is free of charge if you mention that you go to lunch at Sails. By car on the Queen Wilhelmina bridge and then at the end to the left, immediately turn left into the alley, drive until you see the parking lot near the water and you have rached the museum."
