CuraƧao Maritime Museum & Stimacur


STIMACUR (Stichting Mariene Archeologie Curaçao) is a nonprofit organization. Their main goals are to research the underwater treasures of Curaçao and to inform local people and tourists about the rich maritime history. For more then eight years the Maritime Museum and STIMACUR have worked together on exhibitions, research and publications.
As part of an exhibition to set up about 100 years cruise tourism in Curaçao, the museum has also did research to the history of the Holland America Line (HAL). Because of the many former employees of the KNSM who regularly visit the museum and their involvement in Curacao, the museum also researched the history of the Royal Dutch Steamship Company (KNSM).

Opening hours

Tuesday to Saturday from
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The museum is also open
on Sunday and Monday
during the cruise season
(Nov-Apr).
